I want to transform my house into Smart Home where I can control my electrical appliances via mobile application in this case I’m using Smart Life.
At first, I though I must buy electrical appliance that have Wifi connection but I found it is expensive to replace all my electrical appliances that have Wifi connection and besides each manufacturer has their own mobile application to control their devices.
I don’t want to install different kind of mobile application because it makes hard to manage the devices.
I found a device called universal infra red remote control with Wifi where it can control all electrical appliances via infra red and Smart Life mobile app controls the universal infra red remote control via Wifi.
As long as your electrical appliances can be control via IR remote control, you can control the appliance using the universal IR remote controller.

An universal IR remote controller can control devices within lines of sight. This is cheaper way to make my Smart Home project.

I have three major reasons
I bought mine at Shopee at RM32 per controller which I think reasonable price to make Smart Home project.

Of course I bought few controllers for living room & different bedrooms.
First time I had a problem where the parcel is delivered but I don’t receive any parcel.
So what I did I call Shopee call centre on 4th July 2022 because the parcel was at the hub for 6 days already and they advise me to request for Return / Refund and their agent will investigate with their delivery partner.

Suddenly on 5th July the delivery status changed to parcel has been delivered within 1 minute from the parcel is out of delivery.
Which is shocking because impossible to deliver in 1 minute. I did check whether I received any parcel which I didn’t.

According to Shopee call centre, even though it is delivered by ShopeeExpress but in actual fact the ShopeeExpress is not owned by Shopee. It is owned by their partner but used Shopee branding.
Besides, the call centre informed me the rider has high target to deliver parcel, so what they did they just change status without delivering a parcel and it happens so many times.
On 6th July, Shopee call centre called me to verify whether I received or no the parcel which I said I didn’t.


Shopee informed me that they will send email and share with them my front house photo and will ask delivery partner to share their photo as proof of delivery. According to Shopee, the delivery partner just share black photo means they didn’t take any photo when deliver the parcel.
After sending my front house photo, the delivery partner will take another 3 working days to check with their rider.
If they can’t prove then Shopee will refund my money and Shopee coins.

On 11th July, Shopee refunded my coins and ewallet money after they completed their investigation which means Shopee confirmed that my parcel was not delivered.



I had one Unifi Mobile number that I want to terminate. So I called 100 Unifi call centre on how to terminate. According to them I can terminate my Unifi Mobile either
I wonder why I can’t terminate via phone call. Anyway I chose to terminate via online chat because I don’t want to waste time going to TM Point.
Surprisingly it was a breeze to do the termination via online chat.

It was easy to terminate my Unifi Mobile line. The hard part is only to find the termination category in the online chat.
I bought a lock with digit combination at Shopee. Unfortunately the lock can’t be open even though it is set to 0-0-0-0.
I contacted seller via Shopee and WhatsApp and they asked me to return the item.

So I just follow the steps in Return / Refund and choose the right reason.
I choose “Faulty Product” as reason to return it back.
After click submit, I need to share photos of it. So I just share my WhatsApp discussion with the seller that asked me to return it.
After submit the photos, Shopee asked me to drop off the product at any J&T branch and show them the bar code.


On 30th June 2022, I went to J&T Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam to drop it off. I needed to purchase 25 cent of packaging bag from J&T. I thought everything is covered by Shopee but it is only the postal cost is covered by Shopee.
Then J&T has to scan the bar code and the “Return / Refund” status change to seller needs to respond by 5th July 2022.



After J&T scanned the bar code, the Return / Refund status change to “Return in Progress” and you will know by when Seller must respond before Shopee can process the refund.


I received my money and coins on the same day which is 30th June 2022 at night. Seller was fast in confirming the refund.


1) Seller was trusted one because don’t argue much on the faulty product.
2) But seller’s mistake is, he didn’t check the product before shipping out.
3) I only bought sellers with 4.9 stars rating and above and also see whether a seller is professional in responding bad rating. If seller criticizes buyer on bad rating then I won’t buy from this kind of seller
4) Shopee is fast in refunding my money as long as Seller is co-operative.
5) Return process due to faulty product was quite easy as long you have J&T branch nearby.
I wanted to buy Wifi 6 router because most of my mobile devices supported Wifi 6 so I can have higher internet speed. I found a Wifi 6 router costs around RM500.
In luck of event, I received a WhatsApp message from Unifi to upgrade my Wifi router to Wifi Router 6. At first I ignore it because I was afraid it was a scam. I received 2nd message from Unifi following up with me if I want to upgrade.

When I call 100 (Unifi call centre) to verify this, it seems they were also not aware about it. Until I received email from Telekom Malaysia asking whether I want to upgrade my wifi to wifi 6 only then I believe it was not a scam.


To get free Wifi 6 Router from Unifi, I need to sign 2 years contract with them which I accepted because I didn’t plan to switch.
I registered my Wifi Router 6 on 10th June 2022 and on 20th June 2022 I received WhatsApp message saying there would be slight delay in delivering my Wifi router.

On 30th June 2022, I received WhatsApp message that I would received my Wifi router in 2 days time.

Finally, I received my Wifi 6 router on 1st July 2022. It took 20 days for the Wifi 6 to be delivered vs within 14 days as promised.
Surprisingly I didn’t know that there is Mesh Wifi included in the package.


Recently I bought Samsung washing machine from Shopee. When I wanted to check out, Shopee asked me whether to buy extended warranty or no from AIA.
The warranty will only be issued after the order is received.


The extended warranty for 12 months costs me RM41. So I decided to give it a try.
The warranty price varies based on the item price.
The extended warranty covers any mechanical, electrical or electronic breakdown.
I am also not sure what it really means but my assumption is any breakdown due to those mentioned above as long as we don’t cause it to breakdown by force example handling so hard on the item until it break, it will be covered under this warranty.

If the electronic device has an existing original warranty, the extended warranty covers after the existing warranty expires.
If it doesn’t have an existing warranty, the extended warranty stars immediately.


AIA will send a specific link to do your claim and it also gives a link to download your extended warranty certificate.




After “Order Received” of the device, you will immediately received WhatsApp message to register your details for your extended warranty.
Registration process and information required was straight forward.

Today 26th June 2022 our beloved maid – Noh goes back for good after nearly 13 years with us. We hired her when we have our first daughter, Liesha when she was only 1 year old.
Noh took care of our second child Deef till he is 12 years old. Dien our 2nd boy and third child was taken care by Noh till he is 8 years old. Dien is the most sad when Noh goes back for good.
She goes back for good so he can see her son get married this July and at same time her son wants her to stay long in Indonesia as she has left him for 12 years plus already.
We sent her to KLIA early in the morning at 230AM and arrived at the airport around 330AM.

Surprisingly the queue was quite long. We have to wait for one hour to check-in our baggage because MAS only open 4 check-in counter.





My order at Shopee delivery status at Shopee was “Parcel out of delivery” but for nearly 2 days I didn’t receive it. Then I contacted Shopee call centre and based on their status, it seems the parcel was pending at their delivery partner.
The agent advised me to press “Return / Refund” button and choose #1 reason “Did not Receive The Full Order”.



According to the agent, they will investigate and if Shopee finds issue with their delivery, they will refund it in 2 days.
Surprisingly I received my refund in few hours after I pressed the “Return / Refund” button.

In this case, it is not the seller’s fault. It was Shopee’s delivery partner who was slow.
