Sliding Door Repair Loose Frame

This another of my sliding door frame is loose. So I called the same repairman that did at my other door frame.

Surprisingly the repair cost increase double this time. Last time they charged only RM80 now it is RM150.

Sliding Door Bit Hard To Move

The sliding door is bit hard to move and to replace to new rollers will cost another RM220. I found it too expensive together with the RM150 frame repair.

So I decided to use it much longer and plan to replace the roller by myself.

Haha.

At same time because the repairman was snob when I asked to show me the heavy duty rollers he plans to use, he doesn’t want to show me whereas I had used his service in November, 2021. Due to his snob, I also decided not to repair, it motivates me to replace by myself.

Repair Cost

RM150 to tighten the frame and it took the repairman 15mn to repair it.

Panasonic Water Heater DH-3MS1 Bought at RM308

I wanted to buy a Panasonic water heater push button. I compared prices at Shopee and OnKing. At Shopee, the cheapest I can get is RM312 and at OnKing for same model is RM380.

I contacted Shopee seller and decided to go direct to their warehouse because it was near to my house.

At the seller Shopee page the water heater is priced at RM312 but when I bought at their warehouse, they only charged me RM308.

Nasi Ayam Cincang di Denai Alam @ Nasi AJ Ayam Cincang

Sebelum ini untuk membeli nasi ayam cincang saya terpaksa pergi ke Ara Damansara. Bagi saya agak jauh dari rumah, jadi akan makan nasi ayam cincang 2 bulan sekali.

Sekarang Nasi AJ Ayam Cincang telah dibuka kat Denai Alam dekat dengan rumah saya. Harga satu nasi ayam cincang ialah RM7 sepinggan.

Grundfos Water Pump Repair Type CM5 – 1 HP Repair Review

Suddenly my Grundfos water pump of 9 years (installed in 2013), couldn’t start. I thought it was due to clogged pipe to the water pump.

My Grundfos Water Pump type is CM5 and 1 horsepower.

I called plumber and electrician whether they can do but on second thought better I called direct Grundfos Support Service.

I contacted Advanced Pro Solutions, reseller and Grundfos repair specialist. I contacted early in the morning and able to get appointment on the same day! To my surprise, response and appointment was very fast.

According to the repairman, after inspection it was due to the capacitor and Grundfos controller / regulator needs to be changed.

So the repairman has to change to new capacitor and new controller. It took around 1 hour place to do the inspection and repair.

with 6 months warranty on the controller.

Testing After Repair

Ensure you do these 2 tests to ensure the repair is correct and complete.

Open and close water tap to check the water pressure coming out from the water tap
When the water taps are all closed, the water pump will stop pumping

Entopia – Butterfly & Insects Farm Penang Review

We visited Entopia on 13th December 2022 around 230PM.

The place was quite big, I didn’t know it was that big.

Itinerary of Entopia

You will find butterflies flying around and seeing Koi fishes.
The you will discover frogs, spider and scorpion at first
Along the way more butterflies and can try to touch and put them on your hand
At same time you can see few iguanas and tortoise.
At the end, you will discover more on insects like ants, worms, and bugs
Finally you will reach to souvenirs shops and Entopia’s founding history.

For this visit, I didn’t go to level 2.

Lake Garden Taiping Review

On 11th December 2022, we rented bicycle at Lake Garden and did a boat ride there as well.

The bicycles were OK only the brakes were not in good condition.

The cycling and boat riding experience around the lake was fun. It was tiring as well.

It was tiring because we did a boat race among us who could complete the lake first.

City Angel (adult): RM5 per 30 minute ride.
Fatty Angel (adult and my 8 years old kid): RM20 per 30 minute ride.

Mercure Hotel Tanjung Bungah, Penang Review

We had our holiday in Penang from 12th December till 14th December 2022. We booked 2 connecting rooms with one king bed size room and two queen bed size room.

Hotel Mercure is a 4 stars hotel.

The Rooms

Rooms were really comfortable with good air conditioning and really clean.

What I don’t like only the shower water pressure not that strong.

Amenities

Mercure Hotel provided toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, tea etc.

Besides you could easily find F&B within 20-30 minutes drive from the hotel.

In term of parking a bit hard to get parking nearby the hotel. You had to go to basement park next to the hotel.

Mercure Hotel also provides drinking water using 3M filter.

Penang Batik Factory

We went to Penang Batik Factory so my kids could learn how to do batik. Unfortunately we went late around 4PM and they said it was already closed.

Even for next day they were fully booked and it requires 2 days to do the batik. One day to do the coloring by your own and another day for them to die the batik cloth and dry it.

Fortunately the person in charge was really friendly and showed us the factory and brief us on the making of batik without any fee.
