Suddenly my Grundfos water pump of 9 years (installed in 2013), couldn’t start. I thought it was due to clogged pipe to the water pump.
My Grundfos Water Pump type is CM5 and 1 horsepower.

Inspection of Grundfos Water Pump
According to the repairman, after inspection it was due to the capacitor and Grundfos controller / regulator needs to be changed.

Grundfos Water Pump Repair
So the repairman has to change to new capacitor and new controller. It took around 1 hour place to do the inspection and repair.

Testing After Repair
Ensure you do these 2 tests to ensure the repair is correct and complete.
Open and close water tap to check the water pressure coming out from the water tap
When the water taps are all closed, the water pump will stop pumping

Overall Experience
I found the repairman was expert in Grundfos water pump. He can detect quickly the cause of it, professional and very fast response and responsible person.
I was looking for new water pump for my house. My criteria was quite simple, the water pressure is still high if I open 2 bathrooms and washing dishes at kitchen at same time.
At same time the water pump has good support and affordable.
So I would like to know how many power or horse power needed to support my requirements.

So I went to my usual hardware shop where they have set up a demo set on Tsunami water pumps.

Imagine one water tap is one bathroom. For 200W the outcome as follows
1) 1 tap open – water pressure high
2) 2 taps open – water pressure medium
3) 3 taps open – water pressure low
Tsunami Pump – 1100W
Imagine one water tap is one bathroom. For 1100W the outcome as follows
1) 1 tap open – water pressure high
2) 2 taps open – water pressure high
3) 3 taps open – water pressure high
Decision
I decided to buy Tsunami water pump 400W because I notice for 200W after opening 2 water taps, the water pressure becomes slow.
Besides, Tsunami pump 400W is still affordable for me at around RM450.
