Off Road ATV at Taiping Park Larut

We had our off road ATV adventure at Park Larut Taiping on 11th December 2022. It was our first time to do off road ATV.

There were 9 of us with 8 years old kid.

My son of 12 years old and my daughter of 13 years old ride their own ATV.

At first the guide will teach us how to ride ATV. After that they will ask us to follow them on simple path to see whether we can handle the ATV for climbing and going down a slope.

If everyone can do it, then they will allow us to ride our own off road ATV. Fortunately my children of 12 and 13 years old pass the test.

The Adventure

They were 9 of us riding the off road ATV. There were 2 guides assisting us in our adventure. They were really helpful in ensuring our safety so no one was injured during the adventure.

It was really scary at first going down the steep slope or climbing up a slope. Sometimes you have to do sharp turn if not you going off to the cliff.

During the adventure, the guide will take your photos and videos and later will share them via telegram with you.

Glamping

If you want to stay there, you can rent a glamping for your staycation. They have few type of glamping.

Amenities

ATV Adventure provides Coway for your water needs.

The toilets are also really clean.

If you stay they and want to do BBQ, you can rent the BBQ pit at reasonable price.

Minimum Age

Minimum age is 16 years old to ride your own ATV but if you pass the ATV ride test, the guide might consider your kids to ride their own ATV.

Naina’s Roti Bakar George Town Penang Review

We went to eat at the famous Naina’s Roti Bakar George Town in Penang.

It was a stall at Jalan Transfer.

The Stall

It is just a stall, but when we arrived it smelled sewerage near the stall.

Roti Bakar & Roti Canai

Roti goyang bakar is really delicious but the roti kosong banjir, I found other restaurant roti kosong is much better.

But of course taste is subjective to individual.

The service was fast and waiter was friendly.

Chateraise – Patisserie from Japan in Penang

We bumped into a Japan Patisserie called Chateraise in Penang. It made us remember of our trip to Japan. Japan breads are delicious and nicely decorated or packed.

The Patisserie Shop

Most of the delicious breads on display is actually a fake but it looks really real. After you order, the waiter will take out the bread from a fridge.

The Bread

The mochi is really delicious. I like the cream puff but I think I can find better cream puff elsewhere.

Price

On average the price is around RM5 per bread. For me it is a bit expensive.

Cotton Candy Flower and Heart Shape at Zoo Taiping

There is a stall selling beautifully shaped cotton candy at Zoo Taiping.

The stall is called Kawai Candy Land.

The cotton candy is really delicious and really beautiful and it is charged at RM10.

Night Safari at Taiping Zoo

We went to Zoo Taiping. It is the oldest zoo in Malaysia that covers 36 acres and exhibits 1,300 animals representing 180 species.

Tram Ride

For the night safari, we used the tram to do the night safari and there was a tour guide explaining the animal around the zoo. It took around 20mn ride to see most of the animals in the zoo.

The Animals

We saw different animals such as lion, tiger, elephant, birds, swan, crocodile and other animal species.

Locations

There is ample car park at the zoo. Car park is RM3 per entry. Besides there are F&B like Marry Brown and souvenir shops at the zoo.

Overall Experience

It was my first time did night safari and I found it really interesting even though we can see all the animal but at least we could see the animal at night. Some active some passive.

Hermitage Boutique House Taiping Review

We had our short vacation in Taiping from 10th December to 12th December 2022. We stayed at Hermitage Boutique House Taiping.

The Unit – Pink Sapphire

We stayed at a unit Pink Sapphire.

It had

The receptionist is responsive and friendly. Really fast delivering our request such as extra towel and cleaning up the room.

They provide water, biscuits, coffee 3 in 1, toothpaste, shower, shampoo etc.

Problem we had with the unit is the TV is having lines on its monitor. The rain got into the main door and not really sound proof you can hear people talking at the walkway.

The floor is tiles floor so your feet get cold.

But as a whole those issues are small matters for us.

Activities

The Hermitage Boutique House is located to lake of Taiping. So there is cycling and boating activities at the lake.

Besides nearby you can visit Taiping Zoo and Botanic Garden.

It also has off road ATV nearby the zoo.

After tired of doing those activities, you can have a good swim at the Hermitage Boutique House swimming pool.

Surrounding Amenities

Plentiful of F&B nearby such as Mcd, KFC, Marry Brown, ZUS coffee, Nasi Kandar Beratur and CU.

Roti John, Burger & Hotdog di Restoran Mak Uda Bukit Jelutong Shah Alam

Pertama kali saya makan burger ayam di gerai Roti John dan Burger di Restoran Mak Uda. Saya dapati ianya lagi sedap berbanding gerai-gerai burger yang lain saya pernah makan.

Selain itu harga berpatutan iaitu hanya RM4. Kalau tempat lain harga dalam RM4.50 hingga ke RM5 untuk satu burger ayam.
