Google AdSense – Set Up Wire Transfer Account In Malaysia

Finally I reached my threshold of USD100 to allow me to withdraw my Google AdSense income.

When try to set up my wire transfer as payment method, I notice there is this remarks at Google AdSense saying “To receive payouts by wire transfer, contact your bank for exchange rates and fees. Bank account must be located in Malaysia and in US Dollar currency.”

So I wonder whether I need to set an account in USD in order to receive the fund. I googled but couldn’t find anything.
So what I did, I just set up wire transfer using my account in Malaysian Ringgit.

The Fund Received

Alhamdulillah I received the payment. So meaning you can receive your AdSense income just using our normal Malaysian Ringgit Bank Account. I’m using Maybank and Maybank SWIFT code is: MBBEMYKLXXX

It took 5 days or 3 business days  as Google wire transferred the fund on 21st January 2021 and I received it on 25th January 2022.

Touch & Go (TNG) Refund Request Status

PLUS charged me maximum toll fee of RM36.70 due to my mistake where I entered the toll using RFID but exit using Smart Tag.

Refund Status

As of now (25th January 2022),  I still don’t received the refund. I did my request on 21st January 2022. According to TNG it will be refunded within 30 days.

Latest as of 9th March 2022, still no refund. After the 30 days I had to email to careline@touchngo.com.my to ask Touch & Go to expedite my refund request.

I received SMS on 9th March 2022 that Touch & Go requires additional 14 working days to review my request.

For me Touch & Go very slow in doing their jobs.

I received my refund on 26th April 2022. I have to wait for 3 months since my refund request was on 21st January 2022.

How To Avoid People from Peeking at the edge of your curtain

1. This type of curtains and railings will have a gap between the windows and curtains. Sometime it will make you feel unease thinking of someone can peek you from the outside even though you’re not at the ground floor.

2. What I did was just sewn a ribbon at the edge of the curtains. You can use the same colour to not make it obvious. In my case I only have this color.

3. Then you just ribbon tied with the grille. So it can pull the curtain near the window grille.

4. Now no more opening gap where people can peek inside your house. You feel more secured!

AirBnb Superhost Reward

We have Airbnb listing at Genting Highlands. We have been Superhost for the past 4 reviews. To our surprise, on the 4th review, we received our reward of USD100 or roughly equivalent to RM400++.

This is a good reward as it is not easy to be Superhost as you need to ensure that your unit is tip top condition and have good communication with your guests.

Hope we can get Superhost status again for the next review.

Bosch Hammer Drill Repair Shop

I have a Bosch hammer drill model GBH 2-26 DRE. I bought 2 years ago. Before it broke down, I used it heavily to hack my toilet walls. My mistake was when the hammer drill was hot, I just stopped using it for around 10 minutes then used it again.

After that, I noticed my Bosch hammer drill could only rotate in a particular position. After few times using it, it completely stopped functioning.

I sent it for repair as my warranty already expired. The repairman Kelvin, was very responsive when I query via WhatsApp.

When he was repairing it, he checked first the wire because according to him, Bosch burnt wire is common problem with Bosch hammer drill.

When he detected no current flow  from power plug to the drill then he cut the burnt wire.

It cost me only RM10 to repair the Bosch hammer drill.

Kitchen Concrete Table Top

I get my apartment to be installed with concrete table top because I believe concrete table top is long lasting compared to normal table top like IKEA. It is really water proof.

My contractor started to work on it on 7th November and got it completed by 25th December 2021. Actually they just work on Sunday as my contractor did it on part time basis.

So basically they did it on 7, 14, 21, 28th  November and continued on 5, 12 & 25th December. They didn’t work on 19th December due to big flood at Shah Alam area.

In total it took 7 days to complete the kitchen concrete table top.

Remove Concrete Cement Stains Dust Using Acid & Vinegar

I did renovation at my apartment as usual there were lots of cement / concrete stains and its dust on the floor tiles.

After pouring the acid (mix half acid with half water), at same time you need to scrap the floor to remove the concrete / cement stains.

The tiles became clean even some black spots on tiles could be removed.

You can buy the acid at hardware store.

Even though the concrete cement stains were removed but there were still concrete cement dusts.

Using Vinegar to Remove Concrete Cement Dusts

I had use normal floor cleaner, mop the floor few times but it seems the concrete cement dusts still can be felt by my feet.

When I use vinegar (mix half vinegar and half water), then mop the floor the mop was able to trap the dusts more efficiently.

I highly recommend use vinegar to remove the concrete cement dusts as it is cheap solution and it is really effective.
