My Covid-19 Jabs and its side effect @ anal abscess
After my first Covid-19 jab of Sinovac. I noticed, I had 2 times more needs to defecate and my poo was liquid. After few days, I had normal hemorrhoids (I thought it was hemorrhoids).
I had the hemorrhoids for two weeks and I felt weird because no blood on my poo. Usually, you can see blood but I just felt really painful every time I had to defecate.
On my second Covid-19 jab, the pain is worsened and unbearable. I went to see doctor and get normal hemorrhoids medicine without the doctor inspecting my anus because I was embarrassed for the doctor the check my anus.
One week after, it became really painful and I couldn’t stand it anymore and went back to see the doctor and this time let her check my anus.
To the doctor surprise there was no hemorrhoids. The doctor suspected there was an abscess inside the rectum. She referred me to specialist.
Anal Abscess Specialist at Hospital Pantai Kuala Lumpur
I went to see specialist at Hospital Pantai Kuala Lumpur. He is a consultant general and colorectal surgeon. When he inspected my anus, confirmed there was no hemorrhoids and suspected there was abscess or fistula.
He asked me to do ultrasound to detect the exact location of the abscess or any fistula. I was admitted immediately around 12PM and the operation was done on 6PM.
The pre-operation, operation and post operation effect took from 430PM till 10PM. It took me nearly 5 hours before I was fully conscious.
The Anal Abscess
Before operation, I had to do rapid PCR to test whether I was Covid-19 positive or negative. It was short painful to do the the PCR test. It was like some small acid was put at behind my head.
From the ultrasound, the abscess was located around 1 to 2 o’clock. The specialist doctor just made a small cut to drain out the abscess.
I didn’t feel any pain after the operation because I was under strong pain killers. Hospital also provided strong pain killers in case the operated area became painful.
I was admitted for one day only. The next day, I was discharged which is good because I don’t want to stay long in the hospital.

My Room At Hospital Pantai Kuala Lumpur
I used my company’s insurance and I’m eligible for a normal single room. Fortunately there is no available single room so the hospital put me at Premier Single room with the price of normal single room.
The room was spacious and cozy came with a living room area.
I like the kindness and the professionalism of all Hospital Pantai KL doctors, nurses and security.
The total bill was around RM11k, thankfully it is covered by my company’s insurance.
